Components list for Megadrum Project

Postby burno230 » Tue Jul 21, 2015 12:15 pm

Hello Drummers,

I already placed this thread in the German-Language-Section but did not get any responses so far. So I will try it here...

I do have problems with the list of needed components, since this sheet; http://www.megadrum.info/content/buying-components, contains several death links.

So I wanted to ask you guys if maybe someone does have a more specific list of components needed to build the Megadrum myself? I'm not that experienced with those components, so any information would be great.

Thanks in advance!

http://www.megadrum.info/content/buying-components is a guidance on what components are needed for building it from scratch. It's never been meant to be a definitive and up-to-date list. If any links to any components in the list are dead then you just need to find them yourself from the same suppliers as in the list or from any other suppliers.

Hi Dmitri!

Thanks for sending us the list of components, however I am really keen on making a mini drum module (similar to the one made for the e-Cajon).
I am very new at this so i ordered me a Arduino Uno - R3 micro controller. What else do I need?

Thanks
Josh

Very little - just write a firmware you need for it.

Thanks Dmitri, will do so!
I would now like to make a mini megadrum module, the same one you made for the e-Cajon! I am aware i need a Atmega32/324P chip. What else would i need? Knowing that I wont need as much in the components list. I'll attach a picture. Do you have any instructions on putting it together?

I've never made a e-Cajon. I think you mistake me for angr77 who did.

Yepp, that's my design!

I am using an ARM based module from Dmitri. I would recommend using an ARM based module (the lite board will do the trick) if you want to create a e-cajon without a display. It is too complicated todo tasks like upgrading the firmware or do an auto high level sequence with a ATmega processor and without a display on the cajon like my design. With a display...no problem. With a Arm based board you get a faster system which can be controlled over USB with megadrum manager.
