Hi!

I have been talking to XLN now and they have after some thinking admitted that their approach was wrong to demand for different cc:xx channels. They thought that they had solved a potential problem by splitting the cc channels. But after some investigations they have confessed that midi don't work in this way...(Midi events happens in serial) Advantage: Dmitri!

So they will come up with a change for the next service release of AD2. For the moment - the error dialog is "soft" so you can still use cc:16 for several channels and then click Ok in the MAP dialog. It is working. (But the midi monitor will be covered by the error dialog so you are currently midi-blind)

I am going to give the CY-15R a new PS shot...

Best Regards

Hi!

A new version of Addictive Drums 2 has just been released 2.0.8- and XLN have now gone back so we are now able use cc:16 for all PS enabled equipment. Snare, Ride 1 & 2 can be used without any error messages!

Best Regards

I have both versions of the Cy-15R. 3 blacks and one silver. The silver one is a better ride trigger but makes more noise. I modded all the black ones with mylar that snugs up the rubber and can be placed to slightly help the balance of bow vs bell. (had to smack the bell to make it work). I like an 18" 3 way pintech for say jazz playing, but when playing some metal, it has a bad hot spot. The CY15 is better for heavy playing and better positional control.

I think the silver coating retains it's surface tension better, removing the need for the mod.

In Addictive Drums 2.1.7 if I set up the same CC Number for all inputs there is no error message, but only snare works.

For example: I set everything on CC 16, but when I sent MIDI Note 4 it's always an edge sound, regardless of CC value, and plugin reports a change only in Snare CC Pos between 0% and 100%. If I set CC 17 for snare then Ride 1 "catches" this message and it works correctly on MIDI Note 4.

So I can use effectively only one positional sensing pad at a time in AD.
