blank blue screen

just or ordered a full kit and connected all the inputs, when i fire it up all i get is a blank blue screen. i tried updating the firmware w/ MDM still nothing. MDM sees the midi inputs, but shows 0% when trying to update firmware.. please help.. very sad

All modules/kits come with the latest firmware version loaded. You ordered in June so your kit has with the latest version and no reason to update.
You ordered the Minimal kit, which means it comes without any external components like cabes, LCD, controls and etc. As such I suspect that you didn't wire some of the cables correctly. Most likely LCD is not wired correctly or it is faulty. I would suggest to doble/triple check it (and all other wirings). With wiring correct and good LCD it just works.

thanks for the quick response! i'll triple check everything, but i did end up ordering the full kit, so the lcd and cables came with it

i got it!! it appears a tiny bit a solder was shorting to contacts on the lcd board. i'm embarrassed. thanks again!
