It's a bit better but it still misses hits. The rim still won't work either.
If it ain't broken... fix it until it is.

Are you testing it with DynLevel=1 and DynTime=4? Here is another version to test:

I want to get involved in this test as well. ;)

AltFalseTrSupp ON with the following settings and result:
AltFalseTrSuppON.png

AltFalseTrSupp OFF with my own settings and result:
AltFalseTrSuppOFF.png

I dropped a stick in the same place for both, natural rebound, fair and as simple as I can make it. :geek:

Playing the kit, my current verdict is I liked my old settings more. I get a greater number of hits registered during the buzz roll, with my previous calibrated settings.

Pros: It never double triggered with AltFalseTrSupp on, and Crosstalk settings actually started working! I've never seen them work so well.

Cons: A LOT of things broke; basically everything in some way triggered worse with AltFalseTrSupp enabled. Kick started missing notes, became less sensitive. Hi-hat started blocking notes after being hit. (Yes. this is with Retrig at 1, Dyn 1/4) Some of the rims stopped working all together until I matched the settings for head, but I guess that's the way it has to be with the new algorithm?

Besides, the whole kit froze up at one point. To me, it was pretty much a "start from scratch job" with calibration, so I stopped testing and called it a day.

I have some videos incoming with playability + a few troubles I'm having with my snare piezo and a new bug with positional sensing; which seems to stick/hold it's last known CC16 position if you trigger above a certain speed, no matter where you hit during that moment. I have a video of it, hopefully the issue will be made clear in time. Unsure whether its solvable, as I'm not sure Roland's own drum modules exhibit the same issue.

P.S. Any idea what just caused this?

My PC runs through a mains conditioner, and my PSU is high quality, low ripple. Maybe the board inside needs grounding or something. Everything on the display is quiet, no self triggering at all, except for well, that lol. All at once.

I sometimes get this too, though my PC doesn't have any kind of protection. In my case I reckon it happens when the fridge, the cooker or the washing machine power up. In a previous flat I lived in, just turnng on a light would trigger the hi hat... If I use a laptop on battery power it never happens. Maybe your mains conditioner and PSU are rated to effectively protect the PC but they still let through tiny ripples that affect the module; I dunno, I'm just thinking out loud and don't know much about this. I'm toying with the idea of using one of those smartphone power banks to power the module, cutting off the power lines in the usb cable going to the PC and routing them to the power bank.

Just tried the last firmware - I still get a lot of missed hits. And yes, I have Dyns at 1/4, Retrig = 1.
