cymbals yamaha

Postby Chairapta » Mon May 30, 2016 12:07 pm

Hello everyone.

I 'm new to the forum and I could use a little help for MEGADRUM configuration.
I found quite a topic on the forum, but I am a little lost.

I plugged my cymbals in their entries :

- Yamaha RHH135 (in 1 and 3)
- Yamaha PCY 135 (in 6)
- Yamaha PCY155 (in 5)

But when I turn on the MD, it triggers constantly and quickly as I do not touch anything.
Can you point me in the choice of parameters.
Thank you and excuse me for my "bad" English :).

Welcome, and your English is fine.
MD is not plug and play, you do need to configure some things. Have a read through the documentation that Dmitri would have sent you a link to.
In your case here the thresholds need to be raised.

koby drums - Triggera krigg/Bix - megadrum - Kontakt........... Samples from all and sundry.

Let's do one thing at a time and start with Yamaha PCY 135 in 6.

Post the MDM screenshot of the settings for it and we will go from there.

Two screenshot ,
when I type on the bow , I have a signal.
But nothing for the bell and edge zones.
I only have the pcy 135 connected, nothing else. What amazes me is the signal, on the opening of HH

Thank you :)

1. If you're not using AltNote and PressrollNote you have to set them equal to the main note. In your case on the Edge you have to set them to 54.
2. BThreshold (Threshold on the 3rd zone) on the bell must always to be lower than Threshold on the edge.
3. Also see http://www.megadrum.info/content/settin ... one-cymbal for setting up Thresholds on 3 zone Yamaha cymbals.

Hello again :)
I now detects two areas but the area Rim / edge sounds when I tap on the bell while when I hit the edge , nothing.

If I understand correctly , on Yamaha , the two switch pass through the same cable , but a switch to one potentiometer 10kohm and dtx module measures the level difference . How can the MEGADRUM do that?
thank you.

Your 3rd zone note is set to 0. Assign it the bell note number and it should work. Megadrum detects the difference between the two switches in the same way as Yamaha modules.
If it ain't broken... fix it until it is.

It looks ok to me now. You will need to adjust HighLevel on both the bow and the edge since 100 seems too low.
