MD Menu: Jump to next pad

In the latest firmware (20160529) at least it works fine. Worked ok for me with the previous one too though. Are you sure you're doing 2 quick footsplashes to make it active? You should see "QA" in white near the bottom left corner; it sounds as if you're looking at the 'Quick Access' menu item, which will of course always be yellow.

I've just tried it, no luck.
After switching MD on I navigate to the Quick Access menu. It is already set to Yes (setting it to No and then to Yes doesn't help, either). I quickly press-release my pedal twice. The pedal VU meter goes up and down. The third time I keep the pedal down and hit a pad. I'm still in the Quick Access menu.
Yesterday, after the FW upgrade I managed to make it work, but I can't remember how.
After the 'splash' I don't see any 'QA' label. At the bottom left I have 'Lvl', 'Vel' and 'Tmr' printed in pink. Above that is 'Pedal' in yellow, and above that is a flashing green asterisk and 'Midi Out' is displayed there when I hit something. Where should the 'QA' label be? I can press and release my pedal fast or slow, twice or thousand times, the 'QA' never appears and Quick Access is never activated.

I just tested it and it worked as described in http://www.megadrum.info/content/miscellaneous-settings
After enabling QuickAccess you also have to make Splash twice to really enable it. If you have a TFT LCD then you will see 'QA' in grey colour at the bottom after that. To make it active you need to press one of the buttons/encoders. When you've done this 'QA' on a TFT LCD will turn white. Now you can press the HiHat pedal and hit a pad you want to navigate to. After a few seconds of buttons/encoders inactivity 'QA' will turn grey again and to re-activate it you have to press one of the buttons/encoders.

If you don't see 'QA' in grey after two Splashes, then it means MegaDrum did not detect two Splashes - possibly you have not configured High/Low levels and ChickThreshold correctly.

Thank you. I also did some testing and it seems to me that Quick Access has a number of prerequisites:

• Chick note number must not be zero
• Chick Threshold must not be zero
• Short Chick Threshold must not be zero
• Long Chick Threshold must not be zero

These were all zero for me because I used the Chick-detection in Addictive Drums.

I did the following to make Quick Access work:

• Set Chick note number to 1. This is an unused note number in AD (as suggested by ignotus), so it will not interfere with Chick-detection in AD.
• Set Chick Threshold to 90 (my Low level is 19 and my High level is 325)
• Set Short Chick Threshold to 90
• Set Long Chick Threshold to 40

Now I see yellow bars in MDM Midi monitor with note number 1 whenever I produce a chick. Doing a chick 2-3 times in quick succession produces the grey 'QA' on my color LCD and from there it works flawlessly.
I hope the above description will save some time for those who have the same problem.
It might be a good idea to put a note about these prerequisites (or a link to this post) in the documentation, because it might be useful for other AD users.
