Megadrum not communicating with computer

Hi

I just finished putting together the full kit.

When I plug in the USB cable Megadrum powers up and the LCD seems to functions as it should. It shows firmware version 20160406.

I'm planning to use Megadrum for triggering MIDI from home made items using piezos, not with a standard drum setup. I have attached one piezo with a mono jack. I am getting a signal on the 11th VU meter at the bottom.

I opened MDM. It tells me I need to configure the MIDI ports. The options that I'm given are "real time sequencer" and "Gervill". It then tells me I have a MIDI Init error.

I closed MDM and tried getting some sort of signal on a software instrument on Logic X. Still nothing.

I'm connecting via USB. I haven't tried connecting with MIDI cables yet.

I am completely new to this so I'm sure that I have missed something really basic...

Any ideas? I'm really looking forward to getting Megadrum up and running!

It's a long time since I did all this but try the 'rescan midi' it should pick up MD.

I did try rescan MIDI, but unfortunately that didn't work.

I'm wondering whether there's some sort of driver issue?

Problem solved. One of the USB data wires had come loose.

I have resoldered and now I'm in business!
