Well, If you re did this twice you would be back to the start, surely?I don't get why you need a scope to reverse 2 wires. I'm lost.

I didn't my friend tested the cable to make sure as the wires on the Yamaha cable are very fine. He wanted to make sure it was working properly.

I don't understand. You are asking about configuring wiring the RHH135 HiHat controller but you show a picture with wiring for a piezo/piezo pad. Why?

So I guess that is the wrong photo sorry. I thought it was to switch the wires in a cable. Sorry I'm not very good with this electronic wiring stuff..that's why I purchased a module and had a friend do the cable..but obvious I got confused.

Is there a commercially sold cable that will do this? I'm not to familiar with wiring & electronics. If someone could shoot me a link to the cable I need i would appreciate it.

If you did in fact change the polarity in the cable correctly (tip on one side to ring on the other, and vice versa), then it's probably a matter of setting the high and low levels properly.

When you plug the cable in (you ARE plugging in the modded cable from the HH controller into the HH controller input aren't you?) and move the pedal, don't you see numbers changing on the screen under 'Pedal' and beside 'Level'? If you do, then it's working, you just need to set 'Highlevel' slightly below the number displayed with the pedal released, and 'Low level' slightly above the number shown with the pedal fully pressed.

I don't think you need 'Reverse levels' ticked in SD.

Also, I don't know whether new modules have a switch to toggle between different impedance pedals, but if it does you might want to try that.

Thanks ignotus. I will try that when I get that cable back as my friend took it with him to check it over. Is there a a cable like this available for sale anywhere?

I don't know but it is really, very simple. You could also do it by purchasing a TRS -> RCA stereo cable and a stereo RCA -> male TRS adapter. This would make it possible to reverse tip and ring.

No, this is TRS to RCA. You could also use TRS (stereo) to TS (mono x 2). The cable splits the stereo TRS into two mono outputs (tip and ring) and the little adapter combines them again into a stereo input.

So if I use either version I need the adapter to combine the two to make it stereo again..the adapter end goes into the module correct?
