It doesn't matter what end goes where. As the cable is split into tip and ring, mono TS, RCA or whatever jacks, yes, you need the adapter to combine them again into a TRS male jack to plug it into the module or controller.

Thanks sooooo much. I'm going to see if I can find this at Walmart or home depot tonight ..i live in the sticks so that's all that is here..not even a Radio Shack. Thanks again.

So after scouring my 10 mile radius, Walmart, Home Depot, Sears, Ollie's..not even one cable close tho this nor the adapter. So my gf is travelling out of town and after a while of finding the right components they sell. This is the only option that will come close to what you showed me.

Update: I found about 4 cables and adaptors to do this from my basement tonight..wham it works. Not perfect yet it needs tweaking but works!! I having one made that's roadworthy this weekend. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!!
