What? Really? I found when I did that, I would get even more 3rd Zone hits.

But from my screenshot, how do the 3rd zone hits look? Is it okay that it's generally a 3rd zone hit followed by a head hit immediately with about the same intensity like you see on the bottom? The first hit with 127 velocity was head only followed by two rimshots.

Anyhow, at least it takes shape more and more :D. Thank you very much for answering my questions so patiently!

Well, my understanding is that you should stop getting 3rd zone notes and just get rim notes, so I find that a bit baffling, particularly if MPW is set to 0. The other option would be to lower MPW, but you say it's at 0, so that's all I can suggest... As you raise MP it kind of shifts the balance towards the rim. 3rd notes while hitting the rim suggest the module interpreting the head as also being hit, so raising MP should shift the balance towards just interpreting rim hits. That's how I see it anyway...
In any case, I've managed good separation between two piezos stuck to a brass cymbal and dual pads have never been a problem, so if the pad is in proper working order it should just be a matter of finding the right settings.

That shouldn't happen. It looks like you're actually hitting the rim about 20 ms before the head (not exactly simultaneously), with the rim triggering a 3rd zone note and then the head triggering its own note. I say this based on what you say about rim hits always triggering 3rd zone notes; I'm not saying that you need to to be exactly precise down to the last millisecond when doing a rimshot, just that until you get properly distinct head and rim notes, rimshots aren't going to work properly.
If it ain't broken... fix it until it is.

Dunno what I was thinking, my screenshot says different. Maybe I was talking about an earlier state. I'll try a bit more tomorrow.

Makes absolute sense. At least from what I've seen, if MPW is set a bit too high, I'll get rimshot notes pretty easily.. I'll report back, once I've done more tweaking. This is like it's own science :D. Thanks for you patience.

Okay... So I've played around with MP while MPW was 0.

Mind that ALL hits done were on the rim of the pad:

Medium MP

High MP

I conclude that the separation isn't really there yet. Especially on the high MP value I don't need much force to trigger the 3rd zone. So essentially, the separation with my settings is garbage, as seen also in the Medium picture. With increasing force it registers head only apparently (the low velocity head hits were stronger than the higher velocity hits on rim/3rd zone before that.
