MegaDrum no Midi-Out

Postby Klinklan » Sun Oct 30, 2016 10:47 am

Sorry, translated into English

Hello, dear MegaDrum - friends and users,

I ask for your help.

8 months we controlled a Korg microArranger to the musical early childhood education for children with MegaDrum.

Now MegaDrum no longer transfers mididates to the microArranger and expander. External midi-keyboards on the Midi-In connector of the Megadrum do not work anymore. However, the indicator LED and the VU meter of the MidiDrum show an input when actuated!

Can anyone help raise the errors?

It thanks and greets Pia Visio

Please post more details about what type of MegaDrum you have.

Hello Mr. Dmitri,

Thank you for your reply.

Our MegaDrum is the small one in gray plastic housing with max. 48 inputs, with building blocks as in the offer, photo 1: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1420

Firmware: 20150111

In addition to the usual pads, a midi-keyboard was also connected via the MIDI-in jack. Both worked perfectly until we replaced the new Sonuus G2M v3 Midi Converter as interface (bass, guitar or wind / vowel) instead of the keyboard.

After a short application of the Sonuus G2M the midi signal between MegaDrum and Expander was interrupted.

Is it possible to test the MIDI output of the MegaDrum via the software on the computer?
I do not know how to re-install the firmware in MegaDrum.

It thanks and greets Pia Visio

And what is the MCU it's running on?

Yes, with any MIDI In/Out capable software.

MDM has built-in instructions for firmware upgrade when you choose 'Firmware upgrade' in MDM. If it fails in MDM then see http://www.megadrum.info/forums/viewtop ... f=3&t=1252
