Dmitri

I only plug 1 cable into the megadrum! The pad I connect it to is a pcy155 via a stereo cable. I set up the channel so that it`s dual/three way Yamaha, and I`ve been trying both piezo and switch for the Rim/Edge!! 2 things that bother me - maybe you can clarify if it`s supposed to be like this is
1. It`s not registering any of the hits I make on the pad after I do a Send All
2. When I remove the cable from the MD (not from the pad) the rumble midi signals keeps flowing in (this is also after I do a Send All)

Dmitri

1. That`s not what`s going on here! I haven`t got any empty cables connected to MD!
2. This is not the case either, I`m running a stereo cable from a Yamaha pcy155.
3. That`s what I did. Set the channel up for 3 way Yamaha and tried both peizo and switch for Rim/Edge.

MD won't register any of the hits I make on the cymbal after I do a Send All, and on top of that, the midi rumble i get while the cymbal is connected, keeps flowing into MDM when I remove the cable!! And there is nothing else connected to the MD!!

The Midi flowing into MDM is C-1 and I haven`t set any channels for that either??

Andreas

Thanks for your input! I tried checking the boxes Alt Note and Pressroll Note, both on the head zone, Rim, and 3rd zone. It`s still the same. And it still won`t register any of my hits on the cymbal.... And still the same problem - not sure if it`s supposed to be like that, but when I pull the cable out of MD, there`s still midi rumble (value C-1) flowing into MDM - and I have checked, there is no channels set up for C-1?

OK, note C-1 is 0.
Can you zip and attach the mds file?

With regard to your earlier enquiry, If you have MDM on screen you can press 'prnt scrn' or similar on your keyboard (around the backspace/delete area) then open a 2d app (windows call it paint) and paste in there. Save as a jpeg or png.

koby drums - Triggera krigg/Bix - megadrum - Kontakt........... Samples from all and sundry.

So I understand you don't get any false triggering after you do 'Send All' but you also don't get any triggering from the cymbal either even when you hit it. In that case:
1. Take a photo from the back of the module showing where you connected the cymbal to.
2. Post a screenshot of the settings from MDM for the cymbal you connected.

Andreas - I`ll check up on it tom!!

Dmitri

I do get false triggering all the time. But it seems like MD only randomly registers triggering from the cymbal, until I do a Send All, then I get nothing.
I`ll try and figure out my password tom, then I can log in from my phone and post pictures!!

Thanks a lot for your time and help so far!!

I do get false triggering all the time. But it seems like MD only randomly registers triggering from the cymbal,

I thought I explained it. This happens because:
3. A dual zone piezo/switch pad/cymbal connected to an input with default configuration will serve as an antenna on the rim/edge input which by default is configured as piezo input but have a switch connected. Configure the pad/cymbal as a "Dual or 3way Yamaha" zone piezo/switch pad/cymbal.

until I do a Send All, then I get nothing.

And this is why I suggested:
1. Take a photo from the back of the module showing where you connected the cymbal to.
2. Post a screenshot of the settings from MDM for the cymbal you connected.

And also I hope that before making any configuration changes in MDM you do 'Get All' first.

I'm having the same problem, sounds like it's constantly rolling with no inputs connected,

Please describe your problem in details because I could not get a clear picture of what the problem is for the Theblackcat.

Ive plugged my in puts in and start assigning pads, the screen on the md goes dark ( to the point if where I can't see "megadrum.info") and the md starts rolling like the pads are being hit , I turn the md off and unplug the inputs but it keeps rolling , I tried disabling inputs in mdmfx, this works for a while but starts again, I've made a quick YouTube video somehow what's happening
