I suppose the best course of action would be to buy a UPS, try it out, and if it doesn't solve the problem, return it. Mine significantly reduced the problem -I can go days without a single auto-triggering event- but it still occasionally happens, though when it does, with much less intensity and frequency.

I did add a UPS to the supply and it does seem to have made some differences. The actual problem was a faulty earth, and I haven't measured the 'Dirty electricity' or how much it has been reduced but, the volume knob on my 2i2 used to make an awful static type noise when turning up or down and that has now gone.

Oh yes that has gone. I suspect most of it was down to the faulty earth but I have absolutely no doubt that there is an entity called dirty electricity and that it's not good for your Megadrum.

I found I could also drop the theshold from 19 to 14. That said, I'm actually moving the other way, and upping the thresholds so they are just above the kind of low bounce level. Interestingly that is at around 71, so that area between 19 and 71 was somewhat wasted before..

I just googled "dirty electricity"... OMG I immediately bolted to the kitchen and wrapped myself in 30 m of tin foil and made myself a boat-shaped hat out of it for good measure... My oh my what a can of worms...

One thing I did learn and which doesn't look like a ton of horsesh#t is that switching power supplies cause a good deal of electromagnetic noise. I have a cheap laptop power brick that I used initially for my DIY buttkicker and it caused MD to go totally berserk (no UPS), even when plugged into different wall sockets. So, leaving aside the issue of whether your dimmer switches or PC power supply are giving you asthma or diabetes, it's worth taking into account that these things might also affect the module.

Yeah, I got a few, but they didn't make a noticeable difference. The problem is mostly gone anyway so it doesn't matter that much.
