A few ?s...

Postby clock2113 » Fri Jul 04, 2008 10:49 pm

Hey, I just had two questions about this, as I'm very serious about getting
one to replace a TD-12...

1) I have a Hart Giga Pro set
(http://hartdynamics.com/products/drumse ... index.html) and I'm
wondering how well this would work with them... with the TD-12 I can get
very real feeling hi-hat movement, and rimshots on the snare and all
toms... cymbals are chokable, and the ride has 3 zones (bell, edge, rim)...
would all this functionality work with the Megadrum?

2) I use BFD2 (and
I'm probably going to be getting Superior 2 when it comes out)... how well
does it work with BFD2?

My ultimate goal is to have my drumkit
triggering these sounds (esp. Andy Johns and Evil Drums) for completely
realistic sounding/feeling drums...

I've tried looking through the
forums for megadrum, but a lot of it is really confusing to me because of
all the firmware talk, etc... could you shed some light on those questions
for me?

How can "real feeling hi-hat movement" be dependant on a MIDI Drum Trigger/Module? All the rest SHOULD work just as good. I used the word 'should' because I have neither TD-12 nor this drum set to guarantee it. Plus, 'how good' is very subjective term.

Just as well as with EZDrummer, Addictive Drums or any other drum sampler.

Imho, having "completly realistic sounding/feeling drums" is completely unrealistic with any mordern
electronic drum kits/modules.
