I will try to improve the Pad response; but because I noted that the MD triggers the Head channel very well when the Rim signal is removed (or the Rim Threshold raised), I thought that, maybe, it has something to to with the Algorithm...
That's why I wanted your thoughts on the matter...

1. Th first half-wave is actually closer to 3ms judging by scope images.
2. First and third scope images show that the signal indeed has "ringing", i.e. after initial decay it goes up again at around 40ms.
3. You again set DynLevel and DynTime very low although the signal doesn't look very clean, i.e. without "ringing". Hence double triggering.

With a "ringing" pad it will be not easy to find a good balance between suppressing false triggering (which in your case requires raising DynTime and DynLevel) and registering fast rolls or registering two hits coming very close (less than 100ms apart) together and which requires lowering DynTime and DynLevel.

I'm trying to get the latency as low as possible, because ....drummers...

I tried increasing the MinScan to 60 - it makes no difference...
The PS is perfect with MinScan 25 - I think the PS algo is more sensitive to min scan than velocity; I think that the used velocity algo is based on peak value of the signal, so MinScan over 1/4 wavelength should be enough...Right?

As far I can tell only the Rim Signal Amplitude or the Threshold makes significant difference in my Head input response....

Dmitri, could you try to lower the Threshold and maybe use a higher gain setting on the Rim of your Mesh Head Dual Zone pad?
Just to see if you can replicate my Pad+MS behavior...

1. Positional sensing requires sampling full first half wave.
2. I've tested it many times with mesh pads Roland PD125, Drumtec 14", Pintech 10" and some others. I have only Pintech 10" at present. When I have time I will test it again.

Ah, one more thing that I observed: I tried to raise the Threshold level of the Head in order to get rid of the false hits but it makes nearly no difference...
