My MEGADRUM32-SMD pictures

Postby Aaron » Tue Nov 13, 2007 12:20 pm

Here is my Megadrum32 SMD PCB.
Sorry its a bit rough, we threw it together in 2 & 1/2 nights.

1 night drawing schematic, 1 night drawing pcb (1 week wait for pcb to be made) 50 mins to assemble.

I have enough parts to make 1 more which i will possibly sell if anyone is interested.

Wow! It's like taken out of factory made product. Surely you had the PCB made for you?

Awesome work! Have you fully assembled the unit with jacks , screen etc yet? Pics? :D

I would be willing to buy the remaining parts off you, how much would you want for the lot?

Can you let us know how much did the pcb manufacturer charge for how many boards?
Thanks!

cant realy say, we get prototype boards made for work and throw our own boards on if theres room.

14 X 10 inch prototype panel costs approx $400 AUD.

we give them the pcb layout and say fit as many of these on as you can.

i have the lcd and have programmed and tested it.
im working on the drums before i bother with the rest.

im not sure if i want to sell the remaining pcb, im thinking of making some sort of carry around drum unit.

i will look into the cost of making more.

Aaron, you have trimer for contrast, right? If so i think ill use one too. Cheaper and you wont tune it every day. Maybe make little hole for small screwdriver.
