Addictive drums 2 hi-hat cc megadrum question

Some help if possible; I have a megadrum, just got it. Using addictive drums 2. When i move the hihat pedal i see the orange cc marker moving smoothly up and down the scale a b c d etc.... but the sound does not change through the options when i am hitting the hat.

I can click learn and change the sound for open and closed but i cannot get it to change the sound as it moves through the zones.

How do i get the hat sound to change when the pedal moves through the zones.

You have to click on and learn the 'CC hi hat tip/edge' (depending on what zones you're using) items in the menu, not the individual articulations.

You need to tell the hat trigger to send a different MIDI note, one that is not hard-coded to "closed hat" but is "CC-hat-hit" if you know what I mean. One sec, I'll look it up....

Here they are, MIDI notes 7-9:

9 CC HiHat Bell
8 CC HiHat Tip
7 CC HiHat Shaft
Any of these should work as a "hit", as you move the pedal to vary the CC value.
