Megadrum won't save settings

I'm using Linux (Ubuntu), and in the midi In/out selection menu I can see 'real time sequencer' and 'USB(hw:1,0)' - this appears to be Megadrum because if I open the config tool with Megadrum turned off this option is not available. Should it show as 'Megadrum'? in any case it worked before when selecting this option. As for the order in which to do it, as I said before - it used to work; I'm following the same steps but I always get the error message

I used USB(hw:1,0) as well and it worked.
I hate to suggest it, but can you try to update the firmware with MIDI-OX on Windows?

Yes, I'd thought of that, I'll see if I can get round to doing that and i'll report back sometime in the weekend as I won't have access to a windows pc till then...

I just tried the latest version of Megadrum Config Tool and I had the same error and wasn't able to update.
