Problems with the last firmware

I'm trying to put the latest firmware, in my case, after having changed the clock (16Mhz), the 32_16_20082010.

My Megadrum worked well with the 20Mhz clock and firmware 32_20_20080209 ...

Attempts to revise the board in search of bridges, also check the cable ISP.

I have reviewed the board and I found that a capacitor (22p) soldier was not well in it. The condenser is fine and I made a jumper as indicated on the attached photo.

I have not found more welding errors in the board and I think that is otherwise fine.

But when trying to dump the firmware with PonyProg gives me the error: "Device missing or unknown device (-24)".
I connected and disconnected USB and LPT cables but always gives me the same error.

Windows detects the megadrum. But the LED does not light when I connect the USB cable.

Make sure you're not mistaking an ISP( for Atmega) cable/connector for an ICSP(for PIC18F2550) cable connector.
Make sure you don't plug the ISP cable in reverse.
Make sure power is sourced to Atmega when you try to program Atmega.

The thing, that when you connect MegaDrum over USB to PC your computer detects it, is irrelevant. It is PIC18F2550 which communicates to a computer directly. It will detect it even if you take Atmega out of its socket.

The cable is ISP, inserted correctly ... The PonyProg Yesterday I detected the atmega and configuration fuses normally

I feed the atmega with the USB cable to the dump or just the cable ISP?

You must connect to USB otherwise Atmega won't get power needed for programming.

1. Connect USB.
2. Connect the ISP cable to the ISP connector. NOT AN ICSP cable/connector!!!! ICSP is for programmin PIC18F2550. Your PIC18F2550 is already properly programmed.
3. Use PonyProg2000 to program Atmega.

If it fails, than it is for one of these(or a combination of them) reasons:
1) you have a bad ISP cable
2) bad LPT port
3) Loose LPT connector on your PC.
4) Loose ISP connector
5) bad 16MHz crystal
6) bad 22pf capacitors
7) shorts/bridges/bad soldering on the board.
