What is that plastic material? Is it transparent??

When i was building mine, i was testing it in front of the tv with all the lights on. You can set your low settings in megadrum to account for any additional light in the room where it is only sensitive to the led basically. I have enclosed the whole thing just because te led i got was super bright and didnt want to see it :P works alot beter then i thought it would.

I does need to be isolated from external light sources. It just happened that in my setup it sits in a dark place.

It's a transparent piece of plastic with a piece of sloped black tape. It can be just a piece of sloped black plastic but with the transparent plastic and the black tape it's easier to make adjustments/fine tune with different shapes/angles of the tape.

Still it is possible to use the gauge of the Hall with a magnet...
(еще можно использовать датчик Холла с магнитом...)

Dimitri, I was about to command the stuff but I have some trouble to read the model of the diod. Can you post the list of coponent to be used please ?

I don't remember exact models for the LED and phototransistor. D1 is 1N4148 and can actually be almost any model.

a qeustion about this thing (which SEEMS simple and awesome):

in the diagram.
well... couldn't someone please make a veroboard project out of this?
and show where to place the battery i'm guessing is needed for the LED ??
and now what? you have to have batteries in your HH pedal too?

If it required batteries I would've shown it. It gets power from the module.

what module? the megadrum?
or will a Td-3, td6, td8 etc.. work as well?
