Can't trigger any input

Finally I have built my own MegaDrum but unfortunately can't trigger any input. ATMega programming were without any problems. I can browse through all menu but when I am trying to trigger for ex. kick input set for switch there is no action on display nor LED. As a consequence I have no MIDI activity. I went through forum and I found similar problem but the diffrence is that my ATMega has properly measured pins voltage and when I take out MUX'es and touch pins 37-40 LED flashes. I also tried to set configuration bits to this ones from old page and older firmware verions but no success. What else can I do?
Please help!!!!

Kick can only be used with a piezo pad, so setting it to switch and using it with a switch won't do anything.

Sometimes writing do magic After I post this message I checked my board once again and found little short between output of second MUX with one of its inputs. As a consequence MegaDrum is alive and sends MIDI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But this is only half of MD because I have problems with PIC programming. This is very similar to problems raised on forum. I have to try other programmers. Maybe it help.
Dmitri you mean that I can't trigger MD with a swich?
