Question about megadrum

Hi, just want to know if the is any diference beetwen the synthex pcb all-in-one and the dmitri pcb with analog and digital boards separated, because where i live i can get the 74hc4851.
in short, is any diference except for tedius work of building two board and solder alot of diodes?,
should i get the 4851?.

I ask because all the megadrums photos i've seen (in the forum and in the photo section) are the synthex pcb.

i think you should just get synthex's all-in-one pcb (possibly even kit#3 w/ everything included).
that way you'll have all you need - it's the easiest way - and it's super cheap!

compare it to a TD20... stoopid roland prices for plastic boxes..

I would love to buy it but i dont have credit card, not even bank account im just 18 years beside i dont think the mail come this far where i live, little town call Puerto Deseado (google earth?)
so i considere my self lucky for geting the atmega32,
i dont care if its more complicated to build the dmitri pcb cos' i have skills and practice soldering, but if i lose some inputs or functionality, i might pospose this build until i get the 4851

My design (Synthex's design) or Dmitri's design have the same functionality.

I can send the kit anywhere in the world.
Even to Puerto Deseado ( Patagonia / Santa Cruz / Argentina )

thanks for the reply, im just gona build the dmitri version of the pcb, not that i would'nt like the all in one pcb, but im allready have the components, and i have no patience so wish me luck, im going start etching the pcb this weekend,
gonna try to post pics of the progress, wich anyway is going to be slow (lots of thing to do... lots)

I'm from Buenos Aires, and couldn't find the 74hc4851, so I ordered from Synthex for my build. Where do you got the chips ?

I japi (tocayo ) i got the atmega from "electrocomponentes" my brother buy it for me, and the pic ordered from "mcelectronics" (links down the post) wich was hard to find for me.
There is also dicomse where i buy others components.

so japi how is working the kit from synthex?
how much cost?, did it take much time in the mail?

maybe you could order anoter kit from synthex for me (of course i pay you first)

Yes, I got the atmega and 18F2550 from the same sources as you, but I was talking about the 74hc4851. Those chips are nowhere to be found here. Don't confuse them with the 4051s, as the 4051 are different chips and don't work for the all in one.

I didn't order a full kit from synthex, just the four 74hc4851, the rest of the components are easy to get.

i looked up your town on google earth and it looks like a nice place to live.
i don't know anything about the political issues you may have - but a town so close to the beach, can't be all bad

Argentina is beautiful. We have a historical political failure, but people here is very friendly, that's why so many people like to have holidays here. And the currency conversion (euro-dolar-peso) is very convenient to foreigners.
