Does any one know where to purchase the nys_215 1/4" jacks on the net. I found some switchcraft, but they have locating pins molded on there cases and won't set in the board.

I found them. They are a Neutrik part. Here is a merchant in the U.S. :http://www.mouser.com/search/refine.aspx?Msid=56810000&Mkw=nys+215

Is it 2 PCBs or 2side PCB ?

No, you cannot. This inputs jacks PCB is meant for the Synthex's all-in-one PCB.

I have finished my Synthex 1.8 boards. It was quite a few years agoo I made PCB's at home.
It was big fun again....

I printed the PCB layout on old Tektronix inkjet transparency clear film overhead sheet on my Canon MP970 photoprinter. Nice stuff that film. I used my old DIYS UV lightbox (Double Sided ;) )

This is the result

And etched using a mixture of 500 cc HCL(10%) and 120cc H2O2 (3%) for about 3 minutes.

The Jack PCB plug is a Neutric NYS216. I ordered 25 pieces at http://www.dickbest.nl

And sandwitched.

The 2.8 board is also ready Image and now i'm about to the drilling stuff for my box and finished designing some frontplates.

Awesome! Looks like those TRS sockets are almost identical to the ones I got. Mine just have a chrome nut instead of the black one. As soon as the parts arrive I'll build mine and post pictures.

Anyone that did these PCB's and ordered parts from mouser or somewhere else inside the states, what part number did you use for the IDE pcb mount connector? I ordered some but they turned out to be like....half sized small ones. If anyone also knows I need a part number for a crimp on IDE female connector that would go on the ribbon cable? Everything else I got worked out I think.

You must use .100" Header Connectors IDC, Number of Rows = 2, Pitch = 2.54 mm, Number of Positions Contacts = 40
