Using Roland pads with megadrum

Are volume levels inconsistent with low, medium, strong hits or all over the place?

When playing notes regurarely get triggered with a lot less volume than expected.

Is it with all pads connected or only with the snare connected and snare rim disabled?
Did setting DynLevel to 6 and DynTime to 64 make any difference?
Did setting MinScan to 50 make any difference?
Just to make sure vibration is not the cause can you place the snare on a floor and try playing there?

Even happens when I only use the snare, rim disabled.

This is a midi file where I do a LRLR on the snare gradually increasing the strength of the hits. You will see that regurarely notes get dropped, especially in the beginning.

I had the impression that triggering was a bit better.

Just to make sure vibration is not the cause can you place the snare on a floor and try playing there?

My snare is on a separate stand, so vibration should not be an issue. Tried the same experiment as above (LRLR) with the dsnare on the floor, same result.

1. Set Curve to Linear, Threshold to around 40, DynLevel to 6, DynTime to 32, Retrigger to 12 and see if it makes signals consistent.
2. Set Curve to Linear, Threshold to around 40, DynLevel to 7, DynTime to 64, Retrigger to 1 and see if it makes signals consistent.
Please, make lrlr recording for both cases.

Tried both settings, same result

1. Set Curve to Linear, Threshold to around 40, DynLevel to 6, DynTime to 32, Retrigger to 12 and see if it makes signals consistent.

When looking at the midi data I have the impression there is a wave influencing the volumes of the note (could be my drumming but I don't think so)?

I did let them come to rest.
What I noticed was that when the bounces became smaller more noites got dropped.

Is it a mesh pad? Why does the bouncing comes to rest so quickly?
Take a look at the 'free bouncing.mid' file from http://www.megadrum.info/forums/viewtop ... 1117#p1117 . It was recorded a year ago on a Pintech 10" snare and each bouncing run takes at least a dozen of bounces to come to rest.

Also I understand you are comparing to a Roland module. Can I ask you to make a recording of a free bouncing stick and lrlr with the same pad using the Roland module?
