Note name different in MD and BFD2

I noticed there's a difference between the note name assigned in MD and BFD2.

Eg. note 38 is D2 in MD, but in BFD2 it plays D1
Note 46 is A#2 in MD, becomes A#1
It doesn't take The Enigma to crack the code, MD note name -1 = BFD2 note name, but it bugs me somewhat.

I think it has to do with MD having a note number 0 and thereby the scale getting shifted.

I'm I overlooking a way to make the two match?

There are several interpretations of relation between MIDI note 0 and an octave it belongs to.
