"I'll do it, I'm not a machine" (D. Skachkov)

But seriously, I promised Dmitri to post some more soon, using my new hybrid kit, but tackling this horrible PIC/USB error caused some delay and right now I have a huge backlog in my studio (which is still under construction) :( But I'll do it as soon as I can.

So drummaps dont include Channel settings? that´s not good for the "drummaps" concept

MIDI channels can be added but it will half the number of drum map slots.

The thing is what someone in this thread stated. Drummap switching can be a useful feature only if you can change also channels, because when you change a drumkit live, you will probably want to change channel to trigger another instrument. That would be the main use of it. I second the inclusion of channels inthe drummaps. (In fact, i was doing it in MCT as I thought MD was doing it like that)

Sorry, where exactly in MCT were you doing it?

Well, in MCT I think (not sure now that you doubt about it) that when you select Actions->Drummaps->Load frokm file or Save to file. You actually save all the midi notes and all the channels of all inputs. It is not related to live switching drummaps because you have to send then the whole config to MD, but it is just the idea I had of what a drummap is.

Well, in this case in MegaDrum you can call Configs DrumMaps because it saves both notes and channels in Configs.
As I said, I can add MIDI channels to drum maps but it will half the number of available drum maps.

I personally would like to have more drum maps than have the MIDI channels in them. It doesn't really matter what channel something is on to the sampler. The only reason someone would NEED to have other channels is if they had more than 128 different "notes" they wanted to have loaded at the same time.

How many drummaps are available? (to see the impact of halving them). I mean, I prefer having 3 drummaps that I can quickly change live to control different instruments (more easily done with different channels) than having 100 drummaps where I can only change midi notes. Just my 2 cents
